Your favourite music genre?

Well, the title says it all. Share your favourite music genre here, and give reasons why.

I like Gothic rock and symphonic metal. It's just so beautiful and expressive, but sort of upbeat at the same time, if you get my meaning. Sometimes it can be serene, but it can also be raging with anger. Many Gothic/symphonic bands have fantastically beautiful lyrics that send shivers down my spine and raise the hairs on my neck.

I like Gothic rock bands like "Evanescence" and "Within Temptations". Mostly because of the lyrics and all the emotions they put into their singing. Sometimes they can be sad songs, yet upbeat at the same time. And vice versa. It's beautiful and expressive, like Elandri said. And, most of the time, their voices are beautiful and I can relate to alot of their songs. ^_^

You like Within Temptation? Yay for you! WT is the most awesome band ever! ...Followed closely by Nightwish and Evanescence. All of these bands are fantastic, soulful and beautiful.

Hmm....Never heard of Nightwish.
I have nearly all of Evanescence's CDs (Fallen, The Open Door, & Anywhere But Home) I don't have any of the "Tributes to Evanescence" except for the piano version....'^^

Alot of the times, their music inspires my writing. :]

Hmmm....I like some pop and rock, too, but I deffinatly like alternative or gothic rock and such better! =]

Yeah, I can't stand most rap, either....My brotherl listens to it alot, and it drives me crazy....O.o

I like Evanescence as well. I also like Rihanna. My favorite music genre definatly is..country. I like Taylor Swift.

Actually, Country can't be my favorite because I only like about..2 country singers, XD. So, I probably like other stuff too.

Mm, I don't like country at all. It's just too... yodel-y for my taste. I prefer darker things, not light and fluffy music.

Yeah, it makes pefect sense. Maybe it's just because I can connect to it....but maybe I'm just too emo. XD
