| Puppies For Sale A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the pups and set about Nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he Felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the Eyes of a little boy. Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies." "Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "these puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money." The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. "I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?" "Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle,"Here,Dolly!" he called. Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse. Slowly another little ball appeared; this One noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up.... "I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt. The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would." With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself To a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need Someone who understands." The world is full of people who need someone who understands. | |

| Katara, I don't like liars. I know you didn't write this; it was one of my class devotions last year. That's plagiarism, and if you were an adult you could be fined or jailed for it. Please don't so it in the future. | |

| Ok I got it off the internet sorry I will not do it again. _____________________________________________________ Olivia's Diary of her life January 31st, Home, 2000 This year I am turning 5 and yet I am sad. Just a week ago my mum and dad separated I have so upset and very confused that I don’t know what to do my brothers are in yea 5 this year and I start school next year but I do not want to think about it. My name is Olivia Catherine Dimmock and I am shy. Today Tom and me played blocks. It was so sad until mum said it was photo time I was so excited I had to go to the loo. My brother Tom ran outside and hid he did not like photos. Have to go bed time. February 5th, First day at school, 2001 A whole year has gone by. But now I am going to start school. Today I had a photo with mum and my brothers, in my school uniform. As soon as I got to school I met this girl called Jaz. Jaz and I became friends, best friends. Today I was sad because everyone else was different to me and I did not like that. One thing every kindergarten was happy and I wasn’t because there parents were together and mind wasn’t. June 24th, Athletics Carnival, 2008 Today we had the Athletics carnival it was so fun. I came 3rd in 100m and came 5th in 200m. I had a fun day and that is a good thing isn’t it. My brothers are now in year 12 and I am now in year 6 my last year in primary. I am happy and sad because I am going to miss my friends (sad) and (happy) because I can’t wait till high school. | |

| Okay, I have some crtiticism to give. I like the idea of the life diary, but there needs to be more detail in it. It seems like one of those dull, boring diaries where you say "Today I got up. I ate breakfast, I did this, then I ate lunch..." etc, etc, etc. And the year jumps are too significant. I can see this becoming a good story with a nice plot, but you really need to work on giving more detail and decription. | |

| Well, I did a rough edit to your diary entry to show you what I mean. I altered the ages and the situation slightly, but it's almost identical. With no further ado... Elandri's version of Olivia's Diary!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
This year I am turning twelve, which should be a happy occassion, yet I'm messed up, depressed and generally not happy with the person that I am. Just a week ago my beloved parents whom I've worshipped all my short lived life, who I thought loved me and eachother, separated. Just like that. Can you believe it?
I have been so upset and extremely confused that I really don’t know what to do. I just don't. My boisterous brothers have been ranting and raving and being madly enthusiastic about this new university technology project coming up. I try to share their joy, but I really can't: I don't even want to think about the problems and worries that high school school life wil bring to me next year.
My first ever high school year is looming ahead of me like a dark storm cloud... I'm afraid. What if I can't make friends? What if the teachers hate me? I just don't know how to sort my worries out, and I can't get school out of my head...
Well, I must stop writing and go to sleep. At least sleep offers some peace to me. | |
